New York Medical College (NYMC) is seeking a Laboratory Assistant for the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy in the El Ouaamari laboratory. We are looking for candidates with strong interest in neuroscience and energy balance. Supervised by the Principal Investigator (PI), the ideal candidate will assist in conducting experiments and analyzing/interpreting data. The laboratory assistant will assist in obtaining quotes, purchasing laboratory supplies and maintaining reagent stocks. The laboratory assistant will assist in the maintenance of the mouse lines and mouse genotyping, and other duties as assigned.

Provide administrative support to the Director and management of the Comparative Medicine department. Administer support to the NYMC research community by placing their animal requisitions, ordering ancillary supplies, and other DCM related administrative tasks. Under the direction of the Director of Comparative Medicine, develops and manages all routine and specialized office functions pertaining to the day-to-day and long-term operation of the Department of Comparative Medicine. The biostatistician will support clinical epidemiology and biomedical research for the Campus Collaborative Research Core (CCRC) program and the Biostatistics Core at New York Medical College for both the college and Touro University. The biostatistician will design studies, collect, and analyze data from medical experiments, interpret the results of the analyses, and collaborate in writing articles to disseminate research findings. They use the quantitative tools of mathematics, statistics, and computing in their day-to-day work.

NYMC seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy. The position will be in the Kwak laboratory to study the general mechanisms of enhancer RNAs and RNA condensates. Candidates with a Ph.D. in cell/molecular biology, genetics/genomics, and/or computational biology are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will develop a research project focused on non-coding genetic variants and mutations in nascent RNA and epigenetic studies using systems biology approaches and CRISPR genome editing methods. The candidate will contribute to the training of research assistants and graduate students and actively participate in lab and department meetings.
