Overview

The Research Fellow will conduct and oversee experiments on research projects involving exploration of the role of inwardly rectifying the potassium channel, KCNJ10 or Kir4.1, in the regulation of kidney salt transport and blood pressure regulation. The candidate will be able to perform with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinating, overseeing, and conducting experiments
  2. Perform and animal and cell culture work, and keep daily reports of experimental protocols and results.
  3. Perform studies using the patch-clamp technique
  4. Work with lab members on their research. Maintain log book, lab notebook and write lab reports.
  5. Assist in analyzing, presenting, and publishing the results, as well as in the planning of future experiments

Qualifications

  • PhD Degree in a related field with 5+ years of related lab experience

  • Utilization of Microsoft Office Suite, data programs

Minimum Salary

USD $42,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary

USD $52,000.00/Yr.
