Overview

Provide audio visual services to the New York Medical College community, (e.g. : faculty, staff, employees and students) including the School of Health Sciences and Practice, the Center for Interactive Learning, the Skyline Building, and the Clinical Skills and Simulation Center. Will serve as backup Audio Visual Technician for Touro College of Dental Medicine. Serve as a member of the Educational Media unit of the NYMC Information Technology department.   Hours are Monday through Thursday  11:00am – 7:00pm and Friday 8:30am-4:30pm unless otherwise indicated.

Responsibilities

  1. Set up Power Point presentations in auditoria and start capture of lectures. 25%      
  2. Assist with scheduling of auditoria and Center for Interactive Learning; loaning of equipment and setting up of microphones and LCD projectors. 20%
  3. Coordinate and set up audio visual equipment for special events. 15%
  4. Perform video editing upon request. 10%
  5. Videotape events for NYMC community. 10%              
  6. Meet specific requirements and responsibilities expected of Information Services staff. 5%
  7. Facilitate maintenance of equipment and inventory (change projector bulbs, clean lenses, install LCD projectors, troubleshoot problems. 5%                                                   
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned. 5%

Qualifications

(A) EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:  Associates of Arts (A.A.) degree from an accredited institution

(B) LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:  NA

(C) TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS:  Basic computer competencies, including proficiency in Power Point and Audio-Visual editing software.

(D) PRIOR EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of two-year’s experience providing audio visual support

(E) PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:  Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk up to 10 miles per day
