Overview

Assist the Office of Research Administration and Internal Review Board. Carry out accurately, and under pressure of deadlines, a wide range of administrative tasks in support of the research administration responsibilities of the office. Must have a positive outlook and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  1. Enter files into electronic database, prepare and file paper files.
  2. Work with Restricted Funds to track and locate missing funds.
  3. Answer phone calls and take appropriate action. Independent problem-solving so office operates smoothly.
  4. Check for compliance with Conflicts of Interest and CITI requirements.
  5. Create and Manage User Accounts for Investigators to access Electronic Platform for use of Internal Review Board, Institutional Animal Care Use Committee, Institutional Biosafety Committee and Conflict of Interest Databases.
  6. Willingness to complete various clerical tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

(A) Education requirement:  College degree desirable.

(B) Licenses or certifications:  None

(C) Technical/computer skills:  High ethical standards, administrative ability, excellent English, writing, communication and organizational skills, knowledge of general office administration. Computer literacy including expertise with Word. Familiarity with database entry and Excel.

(D) Prior experience:  2 years office experience desirable.
