Overview

The Director of Engineering is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the College's mechanical assets. The DoE managers a staff of 20 to 25 mechanics. The incumbent manages the planned maintenance schedule and is responsible for all engineering compliance reports, including but not limited to fire, NoX and generation reports. The DoE is responsible for establishing a client focused work environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Direct trade staff in maintenance and repair
  2. Implement and maintain planned maintenance
  3. Prepare and maintain engineering reports with a focus on outside agency
  4. May consult on issues relating to engineering, construction, and/or design projects as required. May also liaise with Federal, State, and local
  5. Plans and implements programs to establish performance standards to attain increased productivity and accountability of trade
  6. Perform Other related duties as directed

Qualifications

  • Education requirement: BS in Mechanical Engineering and three years of supervisory experience. In lieu of education, 12 years of mechanical experience working with HVAC and building management systems will be
  • Licenses or certifications: None
  • Technical/computer skills: Intermediate skill level on Microsoft Office product with an emphasis on Excel and Word. A working knowledge of building management systems and computer maintenance management. Effective written and verbal communication skills across disciplines.
  • Prior experience: At least three years supervisory experience managing medium to large mechanical
