Overview

Work independently and within the web team to provide content management support to NYMC Office of Public Relations. Make website updates and additions to NYMC’s website in TERMINALFOUR our web content management system. This position will report to the Director of Web Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Add and update content on nymc.edu via the TERMINALFOUR CMS to ensure that timely and accurate information is available (training will be provided).
  • Aid in training NYMC web contributors ensuring that they adhere to style guidelines to maintain quality standards and brand adherence, preserving site integrity, information architecture, content freshness and relevance to safeguard usability.
  • Aid in culling information from various areas of the College to represent key activities, campaigns and initiatives on the NYMC website.
  • Propose ideas, technologies and trends that will enhance NYMC’s website.
  • Assist in managing all Web marketing efforts including tracking web statistics and optimizing the website for SEO.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Basic HTML, CMS and photo editing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Highly motivated individual who can work independently

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of work and/or internship experience.
  • Experience working on a website, either in a computer science or content/editorial capacity.
  • Training and/or customer service experience a plus.
  • Outstanding writing and proofreading skills are strongly desired.
  • Content management experience necessary and HTML experience preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
