Instructional Technology Specialist needed for NYMC to enable faculty to improve online components of academic courses and to develop new learning solutions.
Responsibilities
Enable faculty to improve online components of academic courses.
Develop plans for applying learning theory, educational practices & technology to specific learning or teaching problems.
Stay abreast of emerging instructional technologies & evolving standards in educational practice & design.
Create & assist professors to create online materials & interactive video training content for faculty & students using interactive video ed-tech & video editing tools.
Provide video editing, web design, graphic design, animations & video graphics services for faculty & staff curriculum improvement.
Develop & deliver faculty training to ensure the integration of technology into teaching & learning.
Assist with administration of electronic exam systems.
Utilize e-learning software & integrate multimedia approaches for course design.
Work with faculty to develop & implement new learning solutions.
Provide support to instructors in the creation & implementation of course materials using the Learning Management Systems, as well as other online resources.
Work with faculty on histology lab & microscopy pictures
Utilize Canvas, Blackboard, LCMS-LEO, Turning Point, Examsoft, Kaltura, YuJa, SmartTechnologies.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Master’s in instructional design technology, educational technology, curriculum development, digital media design for learning, or related + 1 year experience.
Must have experience in graphic design, interactive video educational technology tools, web design, animation creation, & video editing in a higher education context.
Must have experience with Canvas, Blackboard, Kaltura, SmartTechnologies.
