The Director for the Self-Directed Learning (SDL) curriculum in the School of Medicine is a clinician responsible for the creation of a longitudinal, developmental self-directed learning curriculum, incorporating the skills of evidence-based medicine, to be delivered in the Patient Care component of the pre-clerkship years. The Director will work collaboratively with faculty, administration, and students to promote curriculum development to ensure that all students in the M.D. program can successfully demonstrate the competencies of self-directed and life-long learning and evidenced-based practice of medicine as required by the LCME.
Create and deliver a longitudinal, developmental self-directed learning/ evidence-based practice curriculum for the Phase 1 curriculum, including objectives, milestones, and assessments that is compliant with LCME accreditation element 6.3
Manage the self-directed learning program including:
Education requirement: MD/DO
Technical/computer skills
